Recruiting profile

Social media for volleyball recruits

Coaches will look you up. Make what they find quick to read, honest and clean.

Quick dos

  • Pick one main public account for recruiting (many players use Instagram, Facebook or X) and keep it clean.
  • Pin your newest highlight video and your upcoming club tournament schedule.
  • Post real updates: new film, club and high school schedules, measurables, academic honors.
  • Follow the programs on your target list.

Quick don'ts

  • No trash talk, complaining about coaches, teammates or officials, or profanity. Coaches also see what you like and repost.
  • Don't post "offers" that weren't real offers.
  • Don't tag dozens of schools on one post.

You can post, tag and DM coaches anytime. Under NCAA D1 rules, women's and men's volleyball coaches can't send you DMs or other private messages until June 15 after sophomore year. Before you sign, coaches can follow you and "like" or repost public posts, but they can't comment publicly about you. See the timeline.
