Highlight Video & Game Film
How to build lacrosse film that coaches will actually watch. Rules checked Oct 26, 2026. Rules change, so confirm details on the linked sources and with each school's compliance office. This is general guidance, not legal or eligibility advice.
Highlight video
- Two to four minutes, best clips in the first 30 seconds.
- Mark yourself before each clip (a spot shadow or arrow) and put your jersey number and grad year on the first frame.
- Show your position's key actions, not just goals: ground balls, dodges, feeds, slides, clears, saves or faceoffs.
Full-game film
- Coaches who like your highlights will ask for a full game. Have at least one unedited game ready.
- Post on YouTube (unlisted is fine) or Hudl, and put the link near the top of your email.
Keep it current
Update your film after each season and big event, and send the new link to coaches.
