Men's and women's lacrosse are recruited on different calendars
Men's and women's lacrosse are different games with different rule books, and college coaches recruit them on separate D1 calendars. Both are spring college sports. Women's lacrosse is sponsored in NCAA Divisions I, II and III and the NAIA; men's lacrosse is also played in the NJCAA (junior college), which doesn't sponsor women's lacrosse. Every page on this site says which one it means.
High school, club and summer events
College lacrosse is played in the spring, the same season as high school lacrosse. Much of the recruiting happens at summer and fall club events, so your event schedule is one of the most useful things you can send a coach. See High school, club and college camps.
Box, sixes and club lacrosse
NCAA varsity teams play field lacrosse. Box and sixes are separate disciplines, and college club lacrosse (MCLA, NCLL, WCLA) gives many more players a place to play. See Box, sixes and club lacrosse.
