Everything on this page is free. Want it all in one place? The 39-page playbook and Excel tracker cover men's and women's track and field and cross country at D1, D2, D3, NAIA and JUCO: dates by grade, events and marks, email templates, a 30-day quick start and 2,354 programs.
One sport, three seasons
Cross country (fall), indoor track (winter) and outdoor track (spring) have separate NCAA championships, but NCAA D1 recruiting rules, the recruiting calendar and the transfer windows treat cross country and track and field together. D1 coaches can call, message and contact you off campus starting June 15 after sophomore year.
Marks come first
Track coaches recruit on verified marks: your times, heights and distances, with links to official results. Most college programs are outside D1 (1,689 of 2,354 in our directory), and many recruit into senior year. See Events, marks & timing.
